The Yankee Air Force is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the acquisition and restoration of historic and vintage aircraft. The Wurtsmith Division was chartered in December 1993 and now includes 115 members. It is the second largest of the 5 divisions that comprise the Yankee Air Force. The total membership of the five divisions is over 2,000 and growing.
General Membership meetings are held on the third Wednesday, of each month at 7 P.M. in cell #3 of the Yankee Air Force Hangars at Oscoda Wurtsmith Airport.
We welcome you to attend our next meeting, get acquainted and join, so that your efforts will help the Wurtsmith Division attain our established goals.
Our organization is very active. We have a place for everyone.
We have several fund-raising projects underway, social activities, and volunteer projects in rebuilding aircraft. All members receive a copy of our bimonthly division newsletter, as well as "Hangar Happening's" the publication mailed monthly by our National at Willow Run.
